This dish comes from Shegaon which is a small city near Akola in Maharashtra and is famous for Sant Gajanan Maharaj temple. Shegaon Kachoris are flat crispy kachoris with green masala filling. The outer cover is crispy but soft (softer & thinner than the usual kachoris). The basic ingredient of the inside masala is roasted chana dal which is grinded and mixed with lot of spices (coriander seeds, jeera, saunf), green chilles, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves & garam masala. Kachoris are served with fried green chillies and chutney.
