The Udupi SriKrishna Temple is a famous 13th-century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple is open for darshan (worship) in the morning and evening. The temple is well-known for its delicious and nutritious Annaprasadam, served in the temple dining hall, during lunch & dinner time for free.

The prasad served in the temple is very simple but heavenly. You are served only white rice, rasam, a dry vegetable, chutney, lemon rice and paysam. The taste of each and every item is divine and it is very likely that you will not get this taste anywhere outside in any restaurant. It is very difficult to describe the taste, but the balance of flavours in each item is perfect. Make sure not to miss this prasad if you are visiting the temple or if you are in Udupi.
