New Poona Boarding House is a 100 years old iconic food joint located in the bylanes of Sadashiv Peth and famous for its authentic, home-style Maharashtrian vegetarian Thali and Satvik cuisine.

The thali provided here is a very simple basic Maharashtrian thali, but full of flavours. It consists of Maharashtrian style chapati/roti, one dry vegetable, one sabji with gravy and one amti dal, koshimbir (raita), white rice, papad and pickle. Taste is authentic traditional Puneri Brahmin-style with less oil and masala. Overall it is a satvik meal and is incredibly light and easy to digest, and very flavourful. A must visit place specially if you are looking a a simple home style food.
