Shavige with Sweet Coconut Milk

Woodlands Restaurant is a popular and well-regarded vegetarian restaurant, known for its authentic Udupi and multi-cuisine vegetarian food. Interiors are good and ambience is warm, a perfect place to go with family. Service is good and dishes are served fresh and hot.

Shavige is a Kannada term for vermicelli, a type of thin pasta or noodle popular in South India, typically made from rice, wheat, or ragi. The one in Woodlands comes along with fresh coconut milk and veg kurma. Kurma was very flavourfull and slightly spicy while coconut milk was fresh and slightly sweet. Kurma and coconut milk both provide very different yet unique flavour to shavige. Overall taste was great.
