Stuffed Amritsari Kulcha
Don’t look at any other place in Amritsar for stuffed kulchas, Kulcha is crispy and melts in the mouth. There is a choice of stuffing between aloo (potato), paneer, mixed veg and pitthi (dal/lentil) – you can try whatever you like. We tried all and found paneer and aloo to be the best. Kulchas are served with chole and diced onion (mixed with chutney and pickles). Kulchas were so good that we hardly cared to eat the chole !!
Amritsari Kulcha is a lip-smacking stuffed flatbread dish from Punjab. It is similar to Naan and stuffed mainly with potato, paneer or mixed veg. It is crispy and flaky, yet soft and melts in the mouth. It is served with Chole, onion, pickle and green chutney.

Bhai Kulwant Singh Kulchiyan Wale is a small restaurant in the bylanes in Golden Temple Road. It is always overcrowded, with 10-20 min waiting time. Go early morning, if you want to avoid the crowd. There are some duplicate Bhai Kulwant Singh shops in Amritsar, so ensure you go to the original restaurant only
