There are many good Maharashtrian dishes here. The dish that stood out for us was Sabudana Wada which was golden brown in color, perfectly fried, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside with excellent taste – a must try dish if you are in Mumbai. The thali is also decent.

Sabudana Vada is one of the most famous Maharashtrian snacks eaten specially during fasting days. It is made up of tapioca pearls, potatoes and peanuts. Although the recipe is simple, it is very difficult to prepare a perfect sabudana vada – the proportion of sabudana vrs potato has to be just right and it has to be cooked optimally, else it becomes either too chewy and sticky or too brown and hard.
