
Buffet Lunch
Gulatis is famous for its butter chicken and dal makhani and you get both these dishes in the buffet that they serve. Buffet option is available only during lunch time. Buffet that we got comprised of Soup (veg/non-veg), Starters – dahi ke kebabs, pani puri, papdi chaat, salads, dahi wada, Main Course – butter paneer/chicken, dal makhani, mushroom masala, kadhi pakoda, sarson ka saag and deserts – gulab jamun, fruit salad with cream, moong dal halwa, chocolate firni and icecream. Tandori Roti/Missi Roti/Butter Naan/Garlic Paranthas are provided fresh and hot at the table. Buffet is slightly higher priced at ~ Rs 1100/- but the spread of dishes and taste that you get justifies the higher price tag. The standout items in buffet were tomato soup, dal makhani and chocolate firni.
Restaurant Description
Started in 1959 as a small dhaba, Gulatis has now turned into a Fine Dining Restaurant, known for its great North Indian, Mughlai, Hyderabadi and Tandoori cuisine. Be ready to face a long queue with waiting time of 30 min-1 hr on weekends and night time. This restaurant is close to India Gate, so you can also do a bit of sight-seeing if you are coming from outside Delhi as a tourist. Buffets are served during day time on all days, so if you are alone or few, this is a good option to try different dishes.
