This is a must try dish in one of the iconic restaurants in the old Pune city. Batata Wada is very mildly spiced and flavored with a hint of garlic & coriander, but mixes extremely well with the ‘sample’ that comes with it. There is a hint of sweetness in the Wadas. For those unacquainted with Sample, you can say it is something in between the kat of misal and sambar. The nice thing is that this dish is simple yet flavorful. This dish comes along with slices of bread. Wadas are big, so a plate of Sample Wada is very filling.

Restaurant Description

A legacy joint in the alleys of old Pune city, Prabha Vishranti Gruha is a typical place for traditional Maharashtrian breakfast. The menu is very limited with less than 10 items overall but the place always has its dedicated clientele. There are just 7 tables in total so its not surprising that you will have to wait a bit when you get here. It is however a quick service restaurant so the line does move quickly. Sabudana wada is also decent though not the best in town.
