Sitaphal Mastani
Located in a 100 year old wada in the busy Narayan Peth area, Aamboo opened up just an year back and serves delicious mastanis and icecreams. Although the name suggests that it is famous for Mango mastani, its sitaphal mastani is absolute must try. Beyond desserts, it operates as a hub for Malpani Mangoes, selling fresh, naturally ripened Devgad Hapus mangoes directly to customers, hence the name. There is a ample seating space across the two rooms inside the outlet, but it gets crowded during the weekends.
Sitaphal mastani served in Aamboo is one of the best you would get in Pune. It is thick and creamy with lots of fresh sitaphal pulp. Unlike most of the other mastani shops, the mastani here is not very sweet. The sweetness is natural and comes from sitaphal. The icecream on top of the mastani is also very delicious. We have not tasted other natural mastanis (strawberry or mango) in this shop, but guess that they would also be tasty.

Sithaphal Mastani was a banger. The strong flavour of sithaphal with pulp takes the mastani experience to whole new level.
